The first Carrefour store was opened in Taiwan in Kaohsiung at the end of 1989. Today, stores are managed in partnership with President Group. Carrefour Taiwan has a multi-format expansion strategy (hypermarkets, mini-hypermarkets and supermarkets). To date, Carrefour Taiwan represents 25 supermarkets, 2 mini-hypermarkets and 60 hypermarkets.
Taiwan Property Division teams count more than 110 people, managing a 200,000 sq.m GLA real-estate portfolio (almost 1,500 tenants) and develops an ambitious expansion plan, as well as diverse remodeling and energy saving projects on assets.

      2016: opening of Carrefour Ping Jhen by Taiwan Property Division, a 2,200 sq.m GLA shopping gallery with a 7,000 sq.m Carrefour hypermarket on 2 levels.

      The site, located in Taoyuan City – the 6th most populated city in Taiwan – will be connected to Taipei town centre by subway in 2021.
